Milan, 26 January (LaPresse) – Steve Witkoff, US President Donald Trump’s envoy, is reportedly pushing for a diplomatic solution with Iran and has sent Trump a message from Iranian officials in an attempt to delay a possible military attack by Washington. Israel Hayom reports this, citing a senior Israeli official, according to whom “Witkoff delivered a WhatsApp message from Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to Trump, along with a written guarantee from President Masoud Pezeshkian, in order to convince him to postpone the attack”. The Israeli official expressed frustration that Witkoff is acting as an intermediary with Iran.
