Australian Open: Svitolina in semi-final against Sabalenka, Gauff knocked out in two sets

Rome, 27 January (LaPresse) – Elina Svitolina advances to the semi-finals of the Australian Open. At Rod Laver Arena, the 31-year-old Ukrainian, seeded 12th, defeated the United States’ Coco Gauff, seeded third, in two sets with a score of 6-1, 6-2. Svitolina, in her first semi-final of her career (never having gone beyond the quarter-finals), will face the number 1 seed Aryna Sabalenka for a place in the final.
