Washington (USA), 30 January (LaPresse) – ‘We talked about it,’ but ‘I don’t want to ask because it would be inappropriate,’ but ‘he certainly wants to cut rates.’ So said Donald Trump on the appointment of Kevin Warsh as the new chairman of the Federal Reserve. ‘No,’ replied the president to a journalist’s question about whether Warsh had committed to cutting interest rates if appointed.
