Milan, 31 January (LaPresse) – ‘I expect something to come out in February’ about the circumstances surrounding Jeffrey Epstein’s death. This was stated to Corriere della Sera by his brother Mark, responding to a phone call a few hours after the publication of new files by the US Department of Justice. A 71-year-old property developer, Mark Epstein never believed that Jeffrey committed suicide. In a lengthy interview last July about his relationship with underage girls, he said: ‘He kept it hidden from us. I knew he was dating a lot of girls, but I didn’t know the whole situation. When he got into trouble, he told me it was because of his relationships with minors. He said he had been stupid.’ When asked if he hopes that the new files will bring to light important new information about his brother’s case or if he is sceptical, Mark Epstein replied to Corriere della Sera: ‘I have no idea. I’m only interested in the circumstances of his murder. I really don’t care about the people who might get into trouble because of these emails, it’s not my problem.’ When asked if he expects something new to emerge because he is working on it personally or because someone else is working on it, he replied: ‘Someone else.’
