The NBA announced on Sunday the reserves for the 15 February game in Inglewood, California, which includes James. “I didn’t make it as a rookie. Twenty-two in a row. No, that’s not bad,‘ James said in a video released by the NBA before he and the Los Angeles Lakers faced the New York Knicks on Sunday night, shortly after the news of his selection broke. ’I’m honoured. I really am,” added James, who did not play in last season’s All-Star Game due to injury. The players selected as starters last month are: Giannis Antetokounmpo of Milwaukee, Jaylen Brown of Boston, Cade Cunningham of Detroit, Tyrese Maxey of Philadelphia, Jalen Brunson of New York, Stephen Curry of Golden State, Luka Doncic of the Lakers, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of Oklahoma City, Nikola Jokic of Denver and Victor Wembanyama of San Antonio. From the Western Conference, the other reserves are Anthony Edwards, Jamal Murray, Chet Holmgren, Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Deni Avdija.
