Ustica: Rome Public Prosecutor's Office asks for the enquiry into the massacre to be closed

Milan, 5 March (LaPresse) – The Rome public prosecutor's office has asked for the final enquiry into the Ustica massacre of 27 June 1980, when the Itavia DC-9, which left from Bologna for Palermo, was shot down, causing 81 deaths. This was reported by La Repubblica. According to the newspaper, ‘the reconstruction made by the Rome Public Prosecutor's Office, in its request for filing against unknown persons, excludes the possibility that a bomb hidden on board brought down the DC-9. Just as it excludes the track of a terrorist attack'.
