Gaza, 30 Palestinians turned back after attempting to re-enter from Egypt

Milan, 3 Feb. (LaPresse) – Thirty of the 42 Palestinians who yesterday tried to return to the Gaza Strip through the Rafah border crossing were turned back and sent back to Egypt. This is reported by the Qatari television channel Al-Araby. Citing anonymous sources, the broadcaster states that those who returned to Gaza were questioned multiple times during the journey, including by armed men with covered faces who stopped them at a checkpoint 500 meters from the Rafah crossing. The armed individuals handed over the returnees to IDF troops, who questioned them and confiscated their belongings. Meanwhile, yesterday only 12 Palestinians were able to be evacuated from Gaza and entered Egypt through the Rafah crossing.
