Russia-US, Kremlin: ‘With the expiry of the New Start treaty, the world is more dangerous’

Rome, 3 February (LaPresse) – If the New Start treaty between Russia and the US expires, the United States and Russia, which possess the largest nuclear arsenals in the world, would find themselves for the first time without the fundamental document that limited and controlled those arsenals, and therefore ‘in a few days, the world will probably find itself in a more dangerous situation than it has been in so far’. This was stated by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov. The deadline is set for 5 February.
