Milan, 6 February. (LaPresse) – Olympic skiing champions Alberto Tomba and Deborah Compagnoni were the last torchbearers to light the Olympic cauldron at the Arco della Pace in Milan, at the climax of the opening ceremony of the Milan Cortina Winter Olympic Games. Enrico Fabriz, another Olympic speed skating champion, presented the flame to Tomba and Compagnoni.
