Anguillara: Federica Torzullo’s funeral this afternoon

Rome, 7 February. (LaPresse) – This afternoon at 2 p.m., the funeral of Federica Torzullo, who was killed by her husband in their home on 9 January and whose body was found on Sunday 18, will take place in Anguillara Sabazia, in the province of Rome. The funeral ceremony will be held in the Regina Pacis church, in Piazza San Giovanni Battista, after approval from the Civitavecchia public prosecutor’s office. The church where the funeral will take place is the same one where, last Saturday, the woman’s parents-in-law, Pasquale Carlomagno and Maria Messenio, who committed suicide after their son Claudio murdered his wife, were laid to rest. After the crime, the husband buried his wife’s body in a hole he had dug on the earth-moving company he ran with his father. As for the investigation, the Carabinieri of the Ostia territorial department’s investigative unit, coordinated by the Civitavecchia Public Prosecutor’s Office, are searching for the double-bladed knife used by Claudio Agostino Carlomagno to kill his wife, which he claimed to have thrown into a canal along the Braccianese state road in the Osteria Nuova area during his confession. The mayor of Anguillara Sabazia has declared today a day of mourning for the town.
