Milan-Cortina: fans wearing bibs bearing the images of Franzoni and Paris on the “Stelvio”

Bormio (Sondrio), 7 February (LaPresse) – With just over two hours to go before the start of the men’s downhill race, which will award the first gold medal of the Milan-Cortina Games, dozens of spectators are reaching the most spectacular and key points of the Stelvio slope to watch the race. Fans of the Italian team have taken their places on some structures, some wearing bibs with a photo of Giovanni Franzoni, while others wear bibs with a photo of Dominik Paris wearing a crown on his head. The start is scheduled for 11.30 a.m. Franzoni will start with bib number 11, followed by Paris. Mattia Casse and Florian Schieder will start with bib numbers 14 and 15 respectively. A total of 36 athletes are competing.
