Ukraine, Zelensky: ‘Putin may be considering a pause in the war’

Rome, 7 February (LaPresse) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in a conversation with journalists, said he believes Russian President Vladimir Putin is considering a pause in the fighting due to Moscow’s financial problems and, in particular, its budget deficit. “I think the Russians need a break. I think Putin is considering a pause. We believe that their deficit will be even greater this year,” said the Ukrainian leader, quoted by Ukrinform.
