Milan-Cortina: skiathlon, gold and silver for Sweden, Di Centa 28th

Trento, 7 February (LaPresse) – Sweden’s Frida Karlsson wins gold in the skiathlon, a 20-kilometre race combining classic and freestyle techniques, on the cross-country stadium circuit in Tesero. Sweden takes silver again with Ebba Andersson, who crossed the finish line alone. Bronze goes to Norway’s Heidi Weng, fifth place to Switzerland’s Kaelin, fifth to Finland’s Niskanen, sixth to Norway’s Slind, who finished almost two minutes behind the Swedes with whom she was in the lead. The first Italian was Martina Di Centa in 28th place, 4’50‘ behind, Anna Comarella was 36th, 6’08’ behind, while Maria Gismondi finished in 48th place, 8’26” behind.
