Milan, 11 February (LaPresse) – “The whole of Italy was shocked to hear the news of the shooting that devastated the town of Tumbler Ridge, in British Columbia, causing many deaths and even more injuries. In these tragic circumstances, I would like to express the deepest condolences of the Italian Republic and my own personal condolences. We stand with the families in their grief at such a brutal act of violence perpetrated in a school. We wish the injured a speedy and full recovery’. This was the message sent by the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, to the Governor General of Canada, H.E. Mary May Simon, regarding the shooting at a school in Tumbler Ridge, which claimed 10 lives, including that of the attacker, and left 27 people injured.
