Milan, 12 February (LaPresse) – ‘The IOC’s decision is truly morally appalling.’ This was stated in a post on X by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, commenting on the International Olympic Committee’s decision to disqualify Ukrainian athlete Vladyslav Heraskevych from the Winter Olympics after he refused to compete without a helmet honouring more than 20 Ukrainian athletes and coaches killed in the ongoing war with Russia.
