Milan-Cortina Olympics, Moioli-Sammariva win silver in mixed team SBX snowboarding

Livigno (Sondrio), 15 February (LaPresse) – At the Milan-Cortina Games, the Italian pair Lorenzo Sommariva and Michela Moioli won the silver medal in the mixed team snowboard cross event held in Livigno. Great Britain won gold and France bronze. In the final, Sommariva risked falling in his race but managed to avoid being caught up in the fall of his Australian rival Hughes. Moioli, who started more than 80 hundredths of a second behind, overtook her rival to win silver on the last jump. This is the Bergamo native’s fourth Olympic medal in her career, after gold in PyongChang, silver in Beijing in the mixed event and bronze last Friday.
