USA: Actor Shia LaBeouf arrested after assaulting two men

Washington (USA), 18 February (LaPresse/AP) – Actor Shia LaBeouf was arrested after being accused of hitting two men during Mardi Gras celebrations in New Orleans. New Orleans police said LaBeouf ‘was causing a disturbance and becoming increasingly aggressive’ inside a business near the French Quarter. The actor struck two men outside the premises and was restrained until the police arrived. ‘Several people attempted to restrain him, letting him go in the hope that he would leave,’ police said. LaBeouf was taken to hospital for treatment for unspecified injuries and, once discharged, was arrested and taken into custody.
