Milan-Cortina: Nordic combined, gold for Norway, Italians fourth

Trento, 19 February (LaPresse) – Three competitions and three gold medals. Norway’s Jens Luraas Oftebro is the king of the Nordic combined, contested at the Predazzo ski jumping stadium and then on the Tesero cross-country skiing circuit. Silver for Finland and bronze for Austria. Fourth place for Italy’s Samuel Costa and Aaron Kostner, who were in eleventh position after the ski jumping event. The Italian pair demonstrated excellent mental and physical preparation on their narrow skis, climbing position after position. At each changeover, the Italians gained positions, pushing themselves to the limit and dreaming of a place on the podium thanks to their power and the perfect preparation of their skis by the ski technicians.
