Milan-Cortina: speed skating, Lollobrigida fourth in the mass start

Bormio (Sondrio), 21 February (LaPresse) – Francesca Lollobrigida finished fourth in the mass start final, the last race of the speed skating programme at the Milan-Cortina Games. The Italian skater got boxed in on the last lap and was unable to pick up speed in the final stretch. The gold medal went to Marijke Groenewoud of the Netherlands, silver to Ivanie Blondin of Canada, and bronze to Mia Manganello of the United States. The Netherlands thus overtakes Italy in the medal table to take third place.
