Iran, Crosetto: “I am following the situation with the utmost attention”

Rome, Feb 28 (LaPresse) – “I am following with the utmost attention the evolution of the situation in Iran, in Israel, and, more generally, in the entire Middle East area. I am in constant contact with the Chief of the Defence Staff and with the Commander of COVI, who continuously update me on ongoing developments. The absolute priority remains the safety of our military personnel and all Italian staff engaged in international operational theaters. I wish to reassure that, at present, the personnel of the Italian Defence are not involved in the ongoing events. We will continue to monitor the evolution of the situation with the utmost attention, ready to adopt any necessary measures to protect our fellow citizens and to support the stability of the area.” Thus spoke Defence Minister Guido Crosetto.
