Dubai (United Arab Emirates), 1 March (LaPresse/AP) – The Chief of Staff of the Iranian Army and the Defence Minister were killed in an air strike that targeted a meeting of the National Defence Council. This was reported by Iranian state television. General Abdol Rahim Mousavi and Defence Minister General Aziz Nasirzadeh were killed during the meeting along with the head of Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard and security adviser Ali Shamkhani, whose death had already been announced by Iran.
