Milan, March 5 (LaPresse) – A breakthrough has been made in the murder case of 79-year-old Francesco Capuano, who was killed inside his car, a Fiat Panda, in a garage in Suzzara, in the province of Mantua, on December 23.
This morning, the Carabinieri from the Investigative Unit of the Mantua Provincial Command, along with colleagues from the Gonzaga company, arrested the victim’s daughter, Rosa Capuano, 46, on charges of premeditated murder and illegal possession of a firearm.
Capuano was found inside his car in the condominium garage, lying in a pool of blood after being shot in the back of the head. It was his daughter who initially alerted the authorities, claiming she had found her father in that state as they were about to go grocery shopping.
According to investigators, the murder was motivated by the woman’s desire to free herself from her father, whom she considered possessive, and to become his sole heir. The 46-year-old is now being held in Mantua prison.
