Rome, 10 March (LaPresse) – “The government is committed to supporting, in particular through coordinated initiatives within the European Union and in cooperation with Member States, partners in the Gulf region affected by the unacceptable attacks carried out by the Iranian regime, providing, should these attacks continue, additional forms of assistance in terms of defence, protection of critical infrastructure and logistical support, in full accordance with the spirit and commitments that emerged during the videoconference between European leaders and leaders of Middle Eastern countries on 9 March.” This is what can be read in the draft resolution on which the right wing is working ahead of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s communications to Parliament tomorrow, in view of the European Council meeting on 19 and 20 March 2026 and developments in the Middle East crisis.
