Rome, 14 March (LaPresse) – “Enrica, through her writing, always sought to give voice to the invisible. Today, she herself has become invisible to our eyes. But precisely for this reason, as poetry suggests, we can encounter her in a new way: in her words that remain, in the love she sowed, in the beauty she gave us.” So said Monsignor Antonio Staglianò, rector of the Church of the Artists in Rome, in the homily delivered during Enrica Bonaccorti’s funeral. In his homily, Monsignor Staglianò emphasised: “Enrica, you will be unforgettable for the mark you have left on paper and in our hearts. You will be unforgettable because you taught us that, even when ‘time rushes by like an avalanche’, the only thing that matters is the love we give. You will be unforgettable because you lived, and did not merely exist, and in defeat you did not give up, but continued to seek the light, to seek beauty, to seek love.”
