Enrica Bonaccorti: a moved crowd at the funeral, the coffin carried out to the music of Renato Zero

Milan, 14 March (LaPresse) – Hundreds of people gathered in Piazza del Popolo at the Chiesa degli Artisti for the funeral of Enrica Bonaccorti, who died aged 76 following pancreatic cancer. Her daughter Verdiana and ex-husband Arnaldo Del Piave were present. Many celebrities attended, from Alba Parietti to Guillermo Mariotto and Ricky Tognazzi. The eulogy was delivered by Monsignor Antonio Staglianò, rector of the Church of the Artists in Rome. At the end, he also read a farewell letter from Renato Zero, a close friend of Bonaccorti who was not present in the church today. “Sister and confidante, now I am alone,” were the singer’s words. At the end of the funeral service, a long round of applause greeted the coffin to the strains of Renato Zero’s famous song ‘Il cielo’.
