Rome, 22 Mar. (LaPresse) – “Over the past week, Russia has launched nearly 1,550 attack drones, over 1,260 guided aerial bombs and two missiles against Ukraine. In the same week, thanks to the easing of sanctions, Russia has increased its sales of crude oil to finance the war.‘ Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote this on X. ’The revenue gives Russia a sense of impunity and the ability to continue the war,‘ adds Zelensky, who asks: ’The pressure must continue and the sanctions must work. The Russian shadow fleet must not feel safe in European waters or elsewhere. The oil tankers financing the war effort can and must be stopped and blocked, not simply allowed to pass.” “I thank every leader who takes such decisions,” he concludes. “This is what brings us closer to a dignified peace.”
