Rome, 22 March (LaPresse) – Larissa Iapichino won the silver medal in the women’s long jump at the World Indoor Championships in Poland, finishing behind De Sousa, who jumped 6.92 metres. The Italian produced a superb jump of 6.87m just when she needed to respond to De Sousa. However, De Sousa immediately replied. This is Italy’s fourth medal in Toruń. Linares finished third with 6.80m.
