Washington, April 12 (LaPresse) – Erik and Lyle Menendez will proceed with hearings for a new sentencing after spending 35 years behind bars for the 1989 murder of their parents, despite opposition from the Los Angeles County District Attorney. A judge ruled on Friday that the court will hold a hearing for the brothers' new sentencing. District Attorney Nathan Hochman states that the brothers have not admitted to lying during the original trial. Most of the brothers' family members have supported their release.
