Government, Paita (IV): “Political earthquake, Meloni cannot escape Parliament”

Rome, Mar. 24 (LaPresse) – “Undersecretary Andrea Delmastro has resigned from the Ministry of Justice, and it seems that Chief of Staff Giusi Bartolozzi has done the same. Better late than never. One of the key ministries has been emptied, a political earthquake is underway in the government, and it is absolutely necessary that Giorgia Meloni immediately appear in Parliament to report. The Prime Minister cannot escape the chamber; she is making half the government resign to avoid resigning herself,” says Senator Raffaella Paita, leader of Italia Viva in the Senate. “Both should have stepped back much earlier for the good of the country, simply because they were inadequate for their roles, as they have repeatedly shown, from the Cospito case, to Almasri, to the New Year’s Eve shooting. Now we expect Delmastro, as a regular MP, to appear before the Antimafia Committee to clarify the matter of the Rome restaurant in which he was a partner,” adds Paita.
