Rome, 26 March (LaPresse) – “The parents of the “forest family”? To be honest, I was expecting to meet some “strange” people. I found two people of great humanity, without pretension, very polite, with great integrity, deeply moved, who have not given up their way of life – which is not mine, nor does it belong to my culture, just as it is not part of my culture to criticise the measures taken by the judicial authorities.” So said the President of the Senate, Ignazio La Russa, a guest on the programme ‘Dritto e Rovescio’ broadcast on Rete4. “We have never been ‘judge-haters’. I truly hope that all the rigidity that has existed, even on the part of these parents and on the part of the institutions and social workers, will fall away. No one can wish for children who cannot enjoy their parents’ love,” he added.
