F1, Hamilton: ‘A tricky day; we’re lacking a bit of pace’

Rome, 27 March (LaPresse) – “It’s been a bit of a tricky day for us. Overall, the car isn’t bad, but at the moment we’re lacking a bit of pace and in terms of balance we’re not quite where we’d like to be yet. We’ll be working hard this evening to improve the set-up and try to take a step forward for tomorrow. There are areas where we can improve, including energy management, and if we can put it all together, we should be able to extract more performance.” So said Lewis Hamilton after Ferrari’s underwhelming start to free practice at the Japanese Grand Prix. The Briton finished both sessions in sixth place, behind his team-mate Charles Leclerc.
