Rovigo, woman and one-year-old child found dead in artificial pond

Milan, Mar. 28 (LaPresse) – The bodies of a woman and a one-year-old child were found in an artificial pond in Castelguglielmo, in the province of Rovigo. A passerby alerted the authorities after noticing the two bodies in the water. Firefighters from Rovigo, supported by divers who arrived with a helicopter from the flight unit in Bologna, pulled the bodies from the water. Despite attempts to resuscitate them, the medical examiner declared them dead. Divers were also present at the scene to rule out the presence of other people in the pond, while the Carabinieri are carrying out checks and investigations.
