Pope Leo XIV: ‘Good cannot come from abuse of power’

Vatican City (Vatican), 2 April (LaPresse) – “Neither in the pastoral sphere nor in the social and political sphere can good come from abuse of power.” So said Pope Leo XIV during the Chrism Mass in St Peter’s Basilica. “The great missionaries,” the Pope emphasised, “are witnesses to approaches taken on tiptoe, whose method is the sharing of life, selfless service, the renunciation of any calculated strategy, dialogue and respect. It is the path of incarnation, which takes the form of inculturation time and again.”
