Catania, woman stabbed: her husband, who is wanted by the police, had only just been released from prison

Rome, 3 April (LaPresse) – The man wanted for stabbing his wife last night in Picanello, Catania, had only just been released from prison, where he was serving a sentence for property offences. According to reports, the woman had decided to separate from him. The attack took place in the street, outside a shop: the man is said to have arrived on a scooter and, following an argument, the victim sought refuge inside the shop, but was caught up with and stabbed several times with a kitchen knife. After the attack, the husband left both the scooter and the weapon at the scene and fled on foot. The Carabinieri are currently hunting for the man.
