Cremona: 20-year-old man killed in the street; suspect identified

Rome, 7 April (LaPresse) – A 20-year-old man has been killed in a violent attack on Via Brescia, in the San Bernardino district of Crema, in the province of Cremona. The victim, an Egyptian national, sustained stab wounds and was also subjected to violence involving blows with a metal bar, kicks and punches. Despite the emergency response – an emergency medical vehicle, an ambulance from Croce Verde Crema and a helicopter rescue service – the young man died shortly after arriving at Maggiore Hospital in Crema. The Carabinieri from the Crema Company, along with the Investigative Unit and the Forensic Team, attended the scene. Also present were the duty public prosecutor and the commander of the Cremona operational unit. The investigations have already led to the identification of the alleged perpetrator: a young Moroccan man, also a resident of the neighbourhood. The judicial police are continuing with forensic examinations and investigations to reconstruct the circumstances of the murder.
