Rome: Comedian Maurizio Battista reported for stalking by his former manager

Rome, April 9. (LaPresse) – Stalking and aggravated defamation: these are the accusations leveled against comedian and cabaret artist Maurizio Battista, reported to the Rome Prosecutor’s Office by his former manager, Fabio Censi. The complaint, which also includes a request for a ban against the artist, cites several videos posted on social media by Battista. In this content, although without ever naming explicit names, the comedian refers to “a jackal”, claiming to have suffered financial damage of approximately one and a half million euros from his former collaborator. At the same time, Battista also allegedly took legal action against Censi, thus opening a double judicial front. The former manager contacted the Rome Prosecutor’s Office through his lawyer. According to the complaint, Censi explains that the comedian publicly claimed his legal initiative, even mentioning it in a communication sent to city councilors in Canterano, the small town in the province of Rome where the former manager serves as councilor and deputy mayor.
