Cremonese, Giampaolo: ‘We were doing well until the goal, but we’ll fight until the end’

Milan, 11 April (LaPresse) – “Cremonese were in the game right up until the goal, which can always happen. I really liked the team up to that point; we were always in control. We need to review our failure to react, something that must not happen again. We weren’t able to trouble Cagliari because we weren’t convinced we could turn things around, and that’s not good.” This was said by Cremonese manager Marco Giampaolo, speaking to Sky Sport about the league defeat against Cagliari. ‘We did create a few chances; I don’t think we’re a sterile side. It can happen that you fail to score, but it cannot happen that you don’t react,’ he added. ‘I was proud and I really liked the team for the way they were playing, but it’s right to highlight the last 25 minutes. We’ve missed an opportunity, but we’re still in it and we’ll fight until the end,’ he concluded.
