Vatican City (Vatican), 13 April (LaPresse) – “As I prepare to undertake my apostolic journey to Algeria, Cameroon, Angola and Equatorial Guinea, moved by a deep desire to meet my brothers and sisters in faith and the people of those beloved nations, I am pleased to extend to you, Mr President, my respectful greetings, accompanied by fervent prayers for the good and prosperity of the entire Italian people.” So wrote Pope Leo XIV in a telegram sent to the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, as he left Italy for Africa, where he will undertake the third apostolic journey of his pontificate.
