United Kingdom, two boys aged 19 and 17 arrested for synagogue fire in London

London (United Kingdom), April 20 (LaPresse/AP) – British police have arrested two teenagers in connection with the arson attack on a synagogue that took place over the weekend in north-west London. Deputy Assistant Commissioner Matt Jukes of the Metropolitan Police Service said officers arrested two young people overnight, aged 19 and 17, in connection with the attack on the Kenton United Synagogue in the Harrow district. The department has made 15 arrests in relation to six attacks carried out in recent weeks against Jewish targets and a Persian-language media organisation critical of the Iranian government. “We have observed a recurring pattern involving other individuals hiring thugs, people who accept cash payments in exchange for easy and quick gains,” Jukes said. “This is part of modern hybrid warfare carried out by proxy.”
