(LaPresse) – The 19-year-old arrested for propaganda and incitement to commit crimes on grounds of racial and religious hatred shared content on social media in which he described both the Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, and the secretary of the Democratic Party, Elly Schlein, as “puppets of the Jews”. This is what emerges from the order for preventive detention under house arrest issued by the Milan investigating magistrate, Rossana Mongiardo, against the young man from Pavia as part of the Milan Public Prosecutor’s Office investigation centring on the far-right supremacist chat group ‘Terza Posizione’, which has also led to the execution of 14 search warrants across Italy, nine of which targeted minors. Investigators from the Digos unit, coordinated by Public Prosecutor Alessandro Gobbis, who are investigating the 19-year-old for promoting and running social media groups that spread “ideas based on racial superiority and hatred” online, the glorification of the Holocaust and genocide, and incitement to commit ‘acts of discrimination’, have identified two Telegram and TikTok accounts on the web linked to the arrested man. These channels contain ‘xenophobic’ and ‘anti-Semitic’ messages, as well as videos relating to the ‘immigration issue’ in Italy. In particular, an image was identified bearing the Germanic rune of the Wolfsangel or ‘wolf’s claw’, a symbol adopted by the Nazi SS. In the court documents, investigators highlight a ‘video collage’ dedicated to the topic of ‘migrants’ and inciting racial discrimination. The video “begins with a statement issued by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni” in which she asserts that “most crimes are committed by immigrants”, according to the 43-page document issued by the State Police. The clip is accompanied by a famous “audio recording of Benito Mussolini” in which the Duce states during a speech that “the problem is a racial one…”. Elly Schlein, on the other hand, is mentioned a second time in a post in which the leader of the main opposition party is associated by the 19-year-old with “Masonic positions”. The image of the politician is posted in the group “overlaid with a square and compass bearing the letter G inside”, the well-known symbol of Freemasonry.
