(LaPresse) – Lebanese President Joseph Aoun has expressed his condolences over the death of Al Akhbar journalist Amal Khalil, who was killed in an Israeli attack in the town of al-Tayri. In a post on X, Aoun stated that Israel’s “deliberate and systematic targeting of journalists” aims to “conceal the truth of its aggressive acts against Lebanon”. Such acts, Aoun added, constitute “crimes against humanity punishable under international laws and conventions”.
