The Tuscan, number 9 in the world and seeded number 6, beat the Polish Hubert Hurkacz in two sets, former number 6 now down to number 63, with a score of 6-4, 7-6 (4) on the second match point. In the next round Musetti will face the Dutch Tallon Griekspoor (29), who defeated the Bosnian Damir Dzumhur 6-3, 6-4.
