Milan, 27 April (LaPresse) – Luca R., a 64-year-old entrepreneur from Brianza in the nautical sector, invoked his right to remain silent after being summoned by Public Prosecutor Alessandro Gobbis as part of the investigation into alleged Italian snipers in Bosnia during the conflict of the 1990s. At the end of the hearing, his defence lawyer, Luigi Bruno Peronetti, spoke briefly to journalists as he left the courthouse. “We have clarified the situation; we will now also submit a written statement. There is no evidence against him, so we will see what the public prosecutor decides.” Peronetti reiterated his client’s position: “We have responded to the allegations made against us,” he explained. “We are not involved; we have demonstrated this and will demonstrate it further in our written statement.”
