Bekasi (Indonesia), 28 April (LaPresse) – Fourteen people have died in a train crash that occurred overnight near Jakarta, Indonesia. The news was confirmed by Bobby Rasyidin, CEO of the state-owned railway company PT Kereta Api Indonesia. The bodies were taken to hospital for identification. The accident occurred on Monday when a long-distance train collided with the rear carriage of a commuter train stationary at Bekasi Timur station, on the outskirts of Jakarta. Over 80 people were injured.
