Indonesia: Train collision death toll rises to 15, all women

Bekasi (Indonesia), 28 Apr. (LaPresse/AP) – The death toll from a train collision near the Indonesian capital Jakarta has risen to 15 after rescuers completed recovery operations from a damaged commuter train carriage. The accident occurred on Monday at Bekasi Timur station, when a long-distance train struck the rear of a stationary commuter train. All the victims are found to be women, as the carriage involved was reserved exclusively for them. The police have launched an investigation to clarify the dynamics of the accident.
