Real Madrid, Mourinho: ‘No one has spoken to me; I have another year with Benfica’

Rome, 1 May (LaPresse) – Benfica’s Portuguese manager, José Mourinho, spoke to the media today ahead of tomorrow’s match against Famalicao and addressed Real Madrid’s alleged interest in appointing him as manager for the 2026–27 season. “No, nobody from Real Madrid has spoken to me; I can assure you of that. I’ve been in the world of football for too many years and we’re used to this sort of thing, but nothing from Real Madrid. I can’t say any more. And as for Benfica, you already know the situation. I still have a year left on my contract with Benfica, and that’s it,” the former Inter and Roma manager told the Portuguese media.
