Iran: Nobel laureate Mohammadi in hospital due to health problems

Milan, 1 May (LaPresse) – Iranian Nobel laureate Narges Mohammadi, who is currently in prison, has been transferred to hospital due to a deterioration in her health. This was reported by Al Jazeera. In February, Mohammadi was sentenced to a further seven years’ imprisonment “for criminal association aimed at committing offences”, as her lawyer, Mostafa Nili, stated at the time, and was also given a one-and-a-half-year prison sentence for propaganda activities. The Nobel laureate is also banned from leaving the country for two years.
