UK, Times: Prince William pays £7 million in taxes

Milan, May 3 (LaPresse) – Prince William pays £7 million in taxes. This is what the Sunday Times revealed on its front page, citing an investigation by him which found that the Prince of Wales is “a major British taxpayer, largely thanks to his earnings from the Duchy of Cornwall, which exceed £20 million a year”. For years, William has resisted calls to disclose his tax burden, invoking the rights enjoyed by any private citizen. The Duchy of Cornwall is a private landed estate worth around £1.1 billion bestowed on every heir to the throne since the 14th century.
