Milan, 5 May (LaPresse) – The Regional Public Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Court of Auditors of Lombardy has launched a preliminary investigation to examine allegations of financial loss to the state linked to cost overruns at the Santa Giulia Arena for the Milan-Cortina Olympics. The investigation is being conducted by the Economic and Financial Police Unit of the Milan Financial Police, which is currently gathering documentation. No requests for information have been issued to individuals, and the alleged financial loss being investigated by the office headed by Public Prosecutor Paolo Evangelista has not yet been quantified.
