UK, Starmer: ‘Moving forward with government’

Milan, 12 May (LaPresse) – British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is not backing down. ‘The country expects us to move forward with government. That is what I am doing and what we must do as a Cabinet,’ Starmer said, speaking before the Cabinet. ‘As I said yesterday, I take responsibility for these election results and I take responsibility for delivering the change we promised. The last 48 hours have been destabilising for the government and this has a real economic cost for our country and for families. The Labour Party has a procedure for challenging a leader and this has not been initiated,’ Starmer added.
